The position
Red Shoes Inc. is seeking the right person to lead our business development efforts. Depending on fit, this could be a full-time or part-time position. Qualified candidates will have three or more years business development experience or equivalent experience in a marketing environment.
The Business Development Specialist will work in close association with the Red Shoes leadership team to create and develop business development strategies according to a pre-defined set of client criteria. The Business Development Specialist researches prospects and creates introductions between prospects and Red Shoes with the ultimate goal of securing work for Red Shoes. The Business Development Specialist also maintains the prospect database, makes and keeps appointments, cold calls leads and prospects, maintains and follows up on regular new business development activities such as mailings to prospects, looks for new leads, creates prospect profiles, and stays up to date on correspondence relating to all prospect contacts.
Candidates for the Business Development Specialist position should have:
– Minimum 3 years business development experience or equivalent experience in a marketing environment
– Two- or four-year degree in marketing, communications, business or similar majors
– Proven ability to develop new relationships and excels with interpersonal relationships
– Ability to attend meetings and travel within the State of Wisconsin on a regular basis
– Self-motivated, organized, driven, engaging, energetic personality
– Strong ability to work independently
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to identify events, organizations and meetings that provide networking opportunities
– Detail-oriented organization skills
– Impeccable, error-free writing that is clear, concise and well-organized
