Job Summary
The ideal candidate will assist the Engineering Department with data integrity, documentation organization, and technical drawing review. They will also work with maintenance engineers to create and maintain assets in CMMS software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review data in Mapcon to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Organize physical and digital copies of documentation in a systematic manner.
- Assist Drafter/Designer with reviewing existing drawings using AutoCAD and marking up drawings or sketches.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and Project Engineers to create and maintain assets in CMMS software.
- Enter accurate information into the CMMS software.
- Develop efficient and effective PMs with the Reliability Team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct reports, but may require coordination and supervision of contractors.
Work Schedule
Mondays through Fridays, with typical starting times at 7:00 am. Extended hours may occur during yearly shutdowns to complete major projects.
Qualifications
- Be organized, detail-oriented, time-sensitive, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of drafting principles and ability to read and develop technical drawings.
- Ability to access all areas of the facility, including working at heights and in tight spaces.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2006 or higher) and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to navigate the CMMS software and recognize industrial instrumentation documents.
Education and/or Experience
- Must be enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Drafting Associates or Bachelor's Degree program.
- Experience in the food/beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Project management experience is also preferred but not required.
Language Skills
The employee must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence, and communicate effectively with vendors, customers, contractors, and employees.
Physical Demands
The employee must be able to regularly use a computer, stand, walk, and use hands to feel, handle, and reach. They may occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds and must have the ability to communicate with other plant employees and contractors.
Work Environment
The employee may be exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high elevations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and excessive noise levels. Personal protective equipment will be provided in accordance with OSHA regulations.
