We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for the enhancement and maintenance of the client system. This role involves overseeing system enhancements, leading development efforts, ensuring compliance with state standards, integrating with third-party systems, and planning for a system replacement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, and software development, particularly within government or public safety environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and enhancement of the system, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, testing protocols, and state standards.
- Act as the technical lead for development staff, providing mentorship, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Monitor and maintain the public crash data query site to ensure continued functionality and accessibility.
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and resolving system-related concerns.
- Lead integration efforts with state agencies, municipal and county police departments, and public safety vendors.
- Provide guidance on building interfaces with the system and assist in resolving potential integration challenges.
- Participate in research and analysis to enhance the system’s capabilities and support decision-making.
- Define system requirements and architecture for the future replacement of the application.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system improvements.
- Manage system maintenance and updates, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Assist in the data integration process between the current system and its replacement.
- Work closely with other teams on solutioning and design elements for the replacement system.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation for system enhancements, integrations, and future implementations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in an Enterprise Architect role.
- 5 years of experience as a Lead Developer.
- 3 years of experience designing and architecting systems that support multiple clients across various business units.
- Expertise in .NET Framework 4.8 and SQL Server 2019.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, systems thinking, IT governance, and operations.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and present solutions in a way that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand.
- Strong project and program management skills, including Agile methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience working with government agencies or state-level IT projects.
- Familiarity with public safety and law enforcement system integrations is a plus.
