DESCRIPTION
RED is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Server to join our dynamic team. This position is part-time with the opportunity to increase to full-time hours. Flexible availability is essential due to the varying schedules of events.
As a member of our event service team, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional and memorable event experience. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down event spaces according to specifications, reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and set lists, gathering all necessary supplies in advance, executing service in accordance with RED standards, maintaining the event space throughout the event, following direction from the Event Lead and/or Event Manager, and ensuring every guest leaves delighted.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:1 years of serving experience in an upscale environment; catering and event experience preferred. High school diploma or GED.
Basic: 1 year of serving experience. High school diploma or GED. Exceptions can be made for the right candidate, as RED is committed to training the right people.
JOB DUTIES - Essential
- Timeliness – arrives on time, dressed, and ready for shift.
- Uniform is clean, pressed and hygiene is well cared for.
- Participate in pre-event meeting.
- Provide efficient, friendly service.
- Keep assigned event space well maintained. Follow proper steps of service with diligence.
- Strong knowledge of RED event menus, cocktails, wine and sake list.
- Ability to confidently answer menu and event related questions.
- Follow allergy protocol. Use menu knowledge to answer allergy related questions.
- Ability to communicate necessary modifications of menu items to guests.
- Alert expo/BOH of any allergies, dietary restrictions or special requests made by the guest.
- Proficient knowledge of POS systems.
- Ability to work hosted and private events as scheduled.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and other health and safety regulations.
- Strictly abide by liquor regulations.
- Prohibit service to minors.
- Prohibit overserving guests/intoxicated persons.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Complete opening and closing tasks.
- Assist other team members with closing duties if necessary.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
- Average shift length is 5-6 hours.
- This position is paid a base hourly rate of $2.33 Tips
