Red Ventures is looking for a highly technical, results-oriented, and innovative Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team responsible for site operations with our financial services partners. We are looking for a collaborative leader who will understand our people, business, technology, and customer needs. This individual will help drive our culture of diversity, empowerment, ownership, and accountability while developing a team both technically and professionally. They will also identify and successfully implement improvements in our engineering processes, tools, pipelines, and architecture to enable us to deliver on our key initiatives.
This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based out of our Fort Mill, SC office, with in-office Tuesday-Thursday and fully remote work on Monday and Friday each week. Please note that relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates who are interested in joining our team in Fort Mill, SC.

What You'll Do
- Manage a team of software engineers as the site operations manager.
- Collaborate with designers, customer experience leads, business stakeholders, and leadership to build world-class solutions for Red Ventures partners.
- Position the engineering team for success through training, mentorship, and leadership.
- Work closely with the engineers to improve process and code quality.
- Liaise with the director and other senior leadership to establish and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Manage ceremonies and sprints, manage the ticket workflow in Jira, and show strong communication skills with stakeholders and technical partners.
- Demonstrate project and roadmap planning skills.
- Understand and lead SRE best practices and how to implement them.
What We're Looking For
Leadership Experience
- Ability to mentor and grow engineers through coaching, regular feedback, and personal development plans.
- Skills in managing team dynamics, addressing conflicts, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Experience in communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and business partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for the codebase and processes.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks used in web development (e.g., JavaScript (TypeScript), HTML/CSS, React, Node.js).
- Understanding of web application architecture, including client-server models, RESTful services, and microservices.
- Strong emphasis on code reviews, testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), and best practices in software development.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to streamline deployment processes.
- Understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to measure site performance and user engagement.
- Ability to use data insights to drive engineering decisions and site improvements.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and their integration with web applications.
- Knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure the website is usable for individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in implementing accessibility testing tools and methodologies (e.g., screen readers, automated tools).
- Understanding of web security principles, including OWASP guidelines, to protect the website from vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for handling user data responsibly.
