The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Commission Analyst to join our Boca Raton corporate team. Reporting to the SVP of Finance & Investor Relations, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Accounting, and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely commission calculations, reporting, and compliance. As a Commission Analyst, you will join a group that is not only trusted to deliver accurate results, but also partners with our sales and management team members. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with experience in commission operations, financial analysis, and variable compensation structures. This position requires strong analytical skills, an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the company.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer and execute the company’s sales compensation plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare, calculate, and analyze monthly commission payouts in alignment with company policies and pay schedules.
- Track and manage compensation plan signoffs from sales personnel to ensure policy compliance.
- Support Accounting and Finance in preparing monthly accruals, reconciliations, and reporting for commissions-related expenses.
- Act as the main point of contact for commission-related inquiries from sales teams and sales management, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Communicate complex commission structures and calculations in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders across the business.
- Maintain detailed records of approvals and adjustments impacting commission payouts, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and improve commission tools and reports to enhance visibility and efficiency in commission management.
- Drive process and system improvements related to commissions workflows, including leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for annual compensation plan updates.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies related to commission payments.
- Support cross-functional projects related to sales compensation, incentive plan analysis, and commission optimization.
- Assist in ad hoc reporting and special projects to support business needs.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2 years of incentive compensation experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar) preferred.
- Ability to interpret and execute sales commission plans while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex commission structures.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- A team player with a “can-do” attitude, capable of working cross-functionally to support multiple business partners.
