Job Description: Team Member at Home Furniture and Decor Store
Position Summary: The Sales Associate Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service and helping customers select the perfect pieces for their home. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, creative, and knowledgeable about home decor, furniture, and design. The Sales Associate Team Member will work closely with the store’s interior design staff to ensure that customers have access to the most up-to-date design trends and advice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting furniture, decor, and accessories
- Demonstrate product knowledge, including the features and benefits of all the products in the store
- Provide customers with design advice, including suggestions on how to mix and match different pieces
- Upsell customers on additional items or services, such as delivery or installation
- Provide accurate and timely information on orders, product availability, and other inquiries
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store
- Assist in training new team members
- Ensure that all customer service requests are met in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of home décor, furniture, and design
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service and sales experience preferred
Compensation: $16-$20 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 28 per week
