Red Wing Shoes of Sioux Falls is looking for an assistant manager in our location in Sioux Falls, SD. The job of an assistant manager at Red Wing Shoes is to promote and support the Red Wing Shoe brand by selling our image of high quality, wide selection and outstanding customer service to every one of our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Promote and support the high quality Red Wing brand image through professional customer service and selling.
- Enter customer information, along with sales, into our sales system (Xstore), process payments, balance cash drawer and complete daily reporting.
- Measure and fit each customer properly.
- Explain product features and benefits, as well as technical specifications and provide customers with options well-suited for their particular needs.
- Offer appropriate accessories, including but not limited to insoles, socks and oil, with every footwear purchase.
- Take pride and responsibility for overall store and personal appearance.
- Maintain the integrity of the sales floor presentation and housekeeping standards through various cleaning and organizing duties.
- Unpack shipments and restock shelves.
- Show enthusiasm to provide the highest level of customer service to each customer.
- Manage opening and closing the storefront
- Qualifications and Skills
- Lifting 30 pounds, bending to lace shoes, and climbing ladders.
- Housekeeping duties -Including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows and setting up and maintaining displays throughout the store.
- Effective verbal and written communication to communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Computer utilization, including our point of sales system (Xstore).
- Energetic, motivated, outgoing, and friendly.
- Quick thinking and problem solving abilities.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Retail experience is preferred for this position.
- Must have weekend availability.
