Sales Associate Job Description
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Skill set required: The following skill sets are needed to perform this job. These skills can be either acquired from past job experience or acquired on the job during the initial training period. The training period will be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on past experience and the new applicant’s learning curve.
The sales associate must be a motivated individual who enjoys retail sales and likes working with customers. They need to be willing to acquire specific product knowledge and apply this knowledge to help customers choose the right product. Some attributes required are: dependable, flexible, trustworthy, organized and motivated. Sales associates must have a professional appearance, communicate and conduct themselves in a professional manner and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Job roles and Responsibilities
1. Acquire product knowledge and gain an understanding of specific needs of various types of customers.
2. Become familiar and proficient with our point of sale system.
3. Provide customers with product recommendations and help them chose the best footwear solutions for their needs.
4. Help acquire boots as needed from other stores for our customers.
5. Sales associate is responsible for keeping the showroom and stock room neat, clean and organized.
6. Sale associate will receive shipments each day and accept them into our system and put in the proper locations in stock room or order shelf.
7. All employees are responsible for cycle counts to help ensure an accurate inventory.
8. After sales service is required for all associates for our customers. This will include but no limited too boot lace replacement, conditioning of boots and minor repairs of boots.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
