We are seeking a candidate with at least 3 years of professional finance management experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in management, business systems, and supervisory positions. This role requires advanced knowledge of financial operations, including budget development and audit oversight. As Controller, you will oversee finance staff, lead the accounting office, and support the General Manager/VP of Operations in managing the organization’s finances.

Responsibilities
- Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies and procedures to support informed decision-making
- Implement and maintain controls to safeguard financial integrity and confidentiality
- Optimize returns on cash and investments while mitigating risks
- Manage key accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed assets
- Prepare financial statements every month, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports
- Ensure donor instructions compliance for restricted assets and oversee annual budgeting, analysis of variations, and necessary adjustments
- Lead the annual financial audit process, including preparing supporting documentation
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations (federal, state, and local) and requirements
- Go to educational workshops, professional publications, and maintain networks
- Stay current through professional development opportunities and networking
- Coach and evaluate financial staff while fostering collaboration across departments
Requirements

- Strong commitment to biblical Christian principles and values
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a non-profit organization
- CPA license
