What are the responsibilities and job description for the Frontend Staff Engineer position at RedBalloon?
Company: August Venture Talent
RedBalloon posts jobs on behalf of client companies
Job Summary
August Venture Talent, a startup-focused recruiting firm, is serving as talent advisor to the founder of a well-funded B2B software startup in Boise, Idaho. (Local candidates strongly preferred, will consider relocation assistance. No remote work.)
We're seeking a highly skilled frontend developer with deep expertise in React to join our client as a Staff Software Engineer. As one of the first 10 team members, you'll play a key role in shaping the frontend architecture, providing technical leadership, and influencing best practices.
Beyond frontend development, you'll also take on a critical leadership role in the overall architecture and engineering of our client's product and broader technical platform.
We are building this engineering team with the philosophy of hiring the smartest and most seasoned talent, all working together in Boise, and equipping each of those people with cutting-edge AI development tools to kill the drudgery of low-level tasks, unit tests, and documentation.
Unlike many early-stage startups, we offer a competitive salary, quarterly bonus, healthcare benefits and the strong equity you would expect as the contributor to a project with enormous potential. Current funding allows for at least two years of runway before revenue generation or additional funding is required.
THIS IS MORE THAN A JOB, IT IS AN INVITATION TO A TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities
Help to capture the long-term vision for our product roadmap, and work with teammates to convert that into a step-by-step plan for how to sequence the building of our product and technical platform to support it.
Design and engineer front-end features and user experience for the product across web, desktop and mobile.
Engage with users and customers to understand how they think, what they need, and how to build the best product to serve them.
Work with teammates to set standards for writing code that is scalable, manageable, reliable, and testable.
Measurable Outcomes
