Responsibilities
New Product Development (NPD) engineer primary responsibility includes:
- Design and development of Class III Medical Devices
- Activity encompasses mechanical, electrical and software design (firmware) with internal support
- Materials sourcing, prototype building, project planning, technical analysis, budgeting, proposal writing
- Interface with client on development and device design, author applicable documents from requirements thru specification and risk analysis into verification and validation activity
- Challenge available technology in device design to include wireless recharging, communication over blue tooth, battery management, app development and more
- Work with leading edge medical professionals and researchers on life enhancing medical applications
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment critical
- 5 years in Medical device design experience preferably Class III
- Electrical design experience to include PCB’s creation and bringing up - S/W and F/W
- Versed in design and analytical software tools such as SolidWorks, Spice and Altium
- Advanced Engineering degrees preferred
