Responsibilities
Security Officer Job Duties:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security
- Interacts with local fire and police authorities as needed.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers.
- Monitors parking lots and reckless drivers.
- Completes daily logs of all activities and incidents by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses
- Security Officer Skills and Qualifications: Surveillance Skills, Deals with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, Reporting Skills
- Ability to work independently and remain focused during overnight hours
- Physical fitness to perform extended periods of walking and standing
