Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support skilled maintenance technicians in maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist skilled technicians with tasks including, but not limited to:
- Inspecting and testing machinery and equipment.
- Identifying mechanical issues through observation and sound.
- Dismantling machines to repair or replace defective parts.
- Lubricating machinery and cleaning components.
- Installing and repairing electrical systems and components.
- Assembling and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Performing general structural repairs.
- Working with automated machinery and programmable controllers.
- Operating tools such as saws, grinders, and drills.
- Following all GMPs and food safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–3 months of related experience or training.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and technical manuals.
- Comfortable using basic math and reasoning to solve problems.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, and handle materials.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in conditions that may include loud noise, extreme temperatures, or confined spaces.
Work Environment
This role operates in a production facility with exposure to:
- Moving mechanical parts.
- Varying weather conditions.
- Elevated workspaces, dust, vibration, and industrial noise.
