Summary
The Sanitation 1st Shift Helper maintains a clean, safe, and orderly working environment within our production areas. This role plays a vital part in supporting overall production hygiene and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick up and remove trash and waste from all production areas.
- Transport waste to designated disposal locations.
- Sweep and maintain clean floors throughout the facility.
- Prepare sanitizer mixture using an automatic mixing station.
- Spray and sanitize production floors.
- Allow sanitized floors to air dry.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- No prior experience or training required — we provide on-the-job training.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read simple words and instructions.
- Recognize similarities and differences in words and numbers.
- Communicate using basic written and spoken sentences.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
- Understand basic units such as weight, volume, and distance/
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to follow simple instructions and work in routine environments.
- Handle standard situations with minimal variation.
Physical Requirements
- Regular use of hands to handle materials and equipment.
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, or hearing
- Must frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Loud noise levels typical of a production environment.
