We are seeking a Journeyman Network and Computer System Administrator to support the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) in Charlottesville, VA. This role involves managing cloud operations, provisioning virtual environments, configuring security roles, and handling access requests. You'll be part of a critical mission supporting ground forces intelligence, research, and modernization efforts for the Department of Defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill Tier 1-3 cloud tenant requests, including VPC provisioning, role configuration, and access management.
- Apply technical expertise to solve complex IT challenges with originality and innovation.
- Support DevSecOps environments, ensuring secure and efficient system operations.
- Maintain network security, availability, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to performance metrics and deliverables for ongoing system improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years of experience in IT security and system administration (or 6 years of experience in place of a degree).
- 3 years of experience with programming, scripting, or markup languages (e.g., Golang, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Python, XML, JSON, YAML).
- 1 year of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform in a DevSecOps environment.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, AWS, containerization, and network security.
- Active U.S. DoD security clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security CE).
Preferred:
- Linux Certifications (Linux , LPIC, RHCSA, RHCE, etc.).
- AWS Certification to support cloud-based operations.
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
