Position Summary:
The Manager, Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution will provide strategic and day to day management for supply and distribution operations for products, including prescription and OTC drugs.

Areas of responsibilities include:
• Demand/supply forecasting (based on forecasted customer sales provided by sales/marketing) for both supply and distribution operations.
• Management of product and distribution activities to maintain product inventory within defined levels for assurance of continuity of supply to end customers.
• Management and oversight of product logistics, CMOs, 3PL and distributor operations to established performance and contractual requirements.
• Development and analysis of supply and distribution data to monitor and improve operational performance and inventory to optimize cash flow.
• Creating and maintaining effective relationships internally with finance and sales, and externally with supply and distribution channel partners.
• Anticipating and managing issues that could result in supply chain disruptions.
• Supporting Drug Development projects by managing clinical supply inventory and supporting raw material planning with CDMOs
Position Responsibilities:
• Supply and Distribution Operations: Daily oversight for supply and distribution operations and maintain adherence to company operational, contractual, and financial objectives, commitments and policies. Integrate planning, operations and insight with finance, sales, marketing, legal and business development teams. Support and drive effective implementation of EDI and other reporting mechanisms and operational data collection, organization, analysis and reporting. Monitor relevant supply/distribution chain KPIs and objectives. Assist quality assurance in development and implementation for effective corrective and preventive actions, as necessary. Also plan and manage supply/distribution aspects of new product launches and product changes, product/contract/price loading, viability, accuracy and stocking at wholesalers.
• Supply/Distribution Relations: Effectively implement distributor and supplier relationship management and communications for all in-line pharma products. Obtain and implement relevant analysis of supply and distribution chain data and maintain company performance to supplier/distributor requirements and company needs. Maintain operational awareness of inventory across the production/supply and distribution chain and variance to forecasts.
• Forecasting: Participate in the company demand forecasting process and build the production forecast to ensure timeliness and cost/supply assurance optimization and contract compliance and avoidance of supply disruptions or variance to target inventory levels.
• Procurement/Distribution: Effectively translate forecasts, emergent needs and events, and supplier/distribution and logistics capabilities into purchasing, shipping, 3PL and distribution actions. Manage and coordinate supply/distribution chain performance to those actions with focus on stocking and product expiry management needs of customers.
• Supply & Distribution Chain Strategies and Programs: Support management in the product and vendor assessment and selection to support optimal company and customer supply/distribution and operational practices. Analyze and develop strategies and relationships for actions to improve supply and distribution chain cost and operational performance and implement accordingly. Work with sales and finance to develop and implement plans to improve distributor sales pull through, assure successful product visibility, pricing, and stocking across distribution partners.
• Compliance: Support and ensure ongoing supply/distribution activity compliance with all contract requirements, including state manufacturer/wholesaler licenses for Company and its wholesalers, coordination with Company RA/QA on quality/performance audits and complaint management, participate in management of return and recall activities and product investigations.
• DSCSA: Manage company actions to maintain compliance with DSCSA and state requirements, including serialization, and state licensure.
• Quality and Regulatory: Support Quality on all quality operation activities primarily addressing product complaints/investigations and supplier/3PL audits. Maintain all licensing related to distribution of pharmaceutical products along with setting up any new licensing.
• Drug Development Projects Support: Primary emphasis on clinical trial supplies forecasting & management, formulation development supplies management, and packaging development.
• Support of Strategic Initiatives: Work with cross-functional teams to support implementation and execution of strategic initiatives and other work duties as assigned.

Education and Experience | Minimum Requirements:
• BS or BA in relevant discipline. Five or more years of supply chain management experience and demonstrated performance highly valued and considered.
• Must have experience within the pharmaceutical industry in relevant positions, including current direct experience in managing third party supply and distribution activities and practices.
• Demonstrate current knowledge, experience, legal, and regulatory obligations pertaining to pharmaceutical distribution.
• Experience with customer and supplier-distributor level inventory management tools.
• Experience in small to medium US specialty pharmaceutical or generic company, wholesaler/distributor, managing third party manufacturing supply and/or distribution, including direct to physician/clinic care center channels.
• Clinical trial materials management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and implementation experience desirable.
Travel Requirements:
• Up to 10% (domestic and international travel)
