As a Learning Guide, you will serve a critical role akin to a homeroom teacher. You will meet with middle schoolers individually each week, aiming to support their growth and success. If you thrive on mentoring and fostering character habits and project-based learning, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Alternatively, as a Content Specialist, you will lead engaging instruction for small groups of students (approximately 12-15) at either the 6th or 7th-grade level in subjects like Reading, Writing, Math, Critical Thinking, World Studies, or Observation (Art / Science). Your specific teaching focus will align with your expertise and interests.
At Red Bridge, our unique approach groups students by Autonomy Level rather than age or traditional grade placement. Rather than simply classifying them by grade level, we assess students' skills in specific subjects to create tailored learning groups.
As a Middle School Educator, your responsibilities will include :
- Designing innovative curriculum and planning engaging instruction.
- Collaborating effectively with the Red Bridge teaching team.
- Observing students closely and recording notes on their progress.
- Regularly assessing student achievement and providing tailored feedback.
- Coordinating with teachers and parents to discuss student developments.
