The Redding Rancheria is seeking an Administrative Assistant II- Gaming The preferred schedule for this position is Monday- Thursday 8 am to 5:30 pm, Friday 8 am to 12 pm.
JOB SUMMARY:
This confidential employee’s primary responsibilities include providing administrative and secretarial support and personal assistant to both the Executive Gaming Director and the Gaming Commission. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on projects and work independently. This person is required to maintain a positive and professional image for the Redding Rancheria. THIS IS A CONFIDENTIAL POSITION.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive computer skills and experience with a variety of software.
- Must pass a stringent background check
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to become Criminal Justice Information Security Certified within 30 days of employment.
- Must qualify for a class A Gaming License
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Indian preference.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Provides administrative support to the Gaming Commission and the Gaming Agency.
2. Processes administrative financial records and documentation for the Gaming Commission and Gaming Agency.
3. Coordinates and organizes multiple calendars, meetings, reports, events, and agendas on behalf of the Executive Director.
4. Records/prepares meeting minutes for Gaming Commission meetings.
5. Prepare draft agendas for review and approval by the Executive Gaming Director. Coordinate all aspects of Gaming Commission meetings, including agendas, meeting location, meeting packets, correspondence of directional, etc.
6. Coordinate Gaming Commission’s schedules, including calendar reminders, phone calls, and text messages to Gaming Commission for meeting dates and times and assisting with preparing travel arrangements as needed.
7. Coordinate Appeal Hearings between the Gaming Commission and the licensee for date, time, and location to stay compliant with the Redding Rancheria Gaming Ordinance and Redding Rancheria Gaming Commission Regulations.
8. Maintain a detailed log of the Gaming Commission’s attendance records and suitability signing records.
9. Directs calls, mail, e-mail, and guest visits to the appropriate Gaming Agency members
10. Assist the Executive Director with meeting deadlines and tasks as required or directed.
11. Arranges travel accommodation for the Gaming Commission/Agency’s trainers and consultants who travel to the Redding Rancheria.
12. Must maintain a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) certificate.
13. Stay informed and knowledgeable about the State Compact, IGRA, Gaming Ordinance, and Regulations.
14. Attend job-related meetings and trainings as necessary.
15. All other duties assigned or needed by the Gaming Commission or Executive Gaming Director.
16. Provide support to the Licensing Department as needed.
