Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Details

Location: Lexington, KY
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: May 5, 2025
Schedule: 3–4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night required)

About the Neuro ICU Registered Nurse Role

Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced and compassionate Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will have a strong critical care background, particularly in managing high-acuity neurological patients. This fast-paced ICU environment requires advanced clinical skills, strong critical thinking, and a proactive approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Manage airways and ventilated patients
• Administer and titrate IV drips, including vasopressors
• Manage artlines, central lines, and dysrhythmias
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments and interpret ABGs
• Administer continuous IV sedation
• Follow isolation precautions and triage protocols
• Use EPIC for computerized documentation
• Deliver patient care in a 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Participate in weekend and on-call shifts as required
• Float to other units as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Neuro ICU experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience must be clearly reflected in job history
• Must be available for night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be willing to float to other units
• Certifications Required:
• NIHSS
• ACLS
• BLS
