Position Responsibilities/Standards

Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.

Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in patient care, performing all necessary MRIs with a high degree of quality, encompassing MRI workflow, safety and oversight of MRI services and staff.
Position Responsibilities/Standards
General
- Attends department, clinic or company meetings as required.
- Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
- Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
- Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.
- Perform MRI scans if needed to support staff.
- Screen patients and educate on exams.
- Ensure all forms and orders are complete.
- Interact with MD’s and radiologists to ensure correct exams are completed.
- Perform calibration and/or routine maintenance of scanner and processor.
- Writing Tech Schedule that meets needs of organization.
- Managing MRI Tech staff and needs
- Managing MRI daily scan schedule
- Monitor quality of MRI scans and MR Safety
- Must actively participate and adhere to all policies and procedures including human resource policy and procedures and ACR compliance. Review any procedures with facility personnel as necessary.
- Responsible for economic use of time, equipment, and supplies.
- Help manage service calls for equipment when needed.
- Facilitate ACR accreditation.
- Assist with front desk duties as needed i.e. scheduling appointments, answering phones when needed.
- Work with imaging front desk manager on tasks as needed.
- Must travel to sites with scanners as needed to ensure efficiency and workflow.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- ARRT License
- BLS Certified, willing to obtain.
- 3-5 years previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
