SUMMARY OF JOB
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is specially trained in the safe handling and administration of radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes as well as the operation of specially designated imaging and computer systems. These skills are utilized to perform various exams for the purpose of diagnostic interpretation by radiologists / cardiologists.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
Registry or eligibility with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)(N) and / or certification with the Nuclear Medicine
Certification Board (CNMT).
Experience with SPECT systems, cardiac imaging, and computer acquisition and processing.
Familiarity with NRC and Pennsylvania State Regulations.
Must be available to rotate "on call" evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Current CPR certification preferred.
