SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Coding and OASIS Specialist ensures accuracy of patient data submitted to develop a patient’s comprehensive Plan of Care. This position is responsible for analyzing data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation. This position will ensure appropriate ICD-10 coding and sequencing and OASIS accuracy.

- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and evaluation techniques and demonstrate knowledge of clinical skills, judgment, current professional practices and analytical capabilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
- Detailed oriented and able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate others
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and other computer applications preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours
- HCS-D and COS-C certifications preferred. Otherwise, must demonstrate proficiency with the OASIS review and ICD-10 coding within 6 months and must obtain required certifications according to Agency requirements.
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Current RN state license
- Three to five years home care experience
