What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Aide position at Redeemer Health?
Drueding Center, located at 4th and Master Street in Philadelphia, partners with families experiencing homelessness to support them to build skills to heal from trauma, restore hope, and end the cycle of homelessness through a trauma informed and housing first approach. This work is accomplished through three interrelated departments – Residential Services, Community Services and Child Care.
Drueding Center’s Residential Services department supports families living in our transitional housing program through intensive case management, supportive counseling, life skills workshops, and an on-site food pantry.
SUMMARY OF JOB
In keeping with Drueding Center’s core principles of healing from trauma, restoring hope and rapidly ending homelessness, this position provides trauma informed services and is responsible for ensuring for the physical safety of the families and staff. Provides a warm welcome to all families, staff and visitors. Triages emergencies that arise evenings, nights and weekends.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to remain calm and levelheaded in crisis situations
Competent in basic computer skills, operating telephone and paging system
