Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing department within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring effective shift management and supervision of nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that align with resident rights and individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare policies.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in clinical decision-making and patient care practices.
- Conduct regular assessments of nursing operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous professional development among nursing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to nursing practices and resident care.
Experience
- A valid nursing license with significant experience in nurse management or supervisory roles.
- Proven experience in managing nursing staff within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, care plans, and resident rights.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, residents, and families.
