Job Overview
Redeemer Life Church is seeking a half-time Youth Pastor to shepherd our youth with the purpose of leading them towards faith in Christ and helping them grow in spiritual maturity. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the youth ministry. While their primary priority will be on caring for the students, volunteers and parents, there is an openness to expanded opportunities as it relates to an individual’s desires and giftedness.
Qualifications/Skills/Character:
· A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Demonstrated by spiritual maturity and character.
· Be a person of emotional and relational maturity
· Demonstrate Servant Leadership and a passion to care for and develop leaders
· Flexible, adaptable, and teachable
· Theological and personal compatibility with the Evangelical Covenant Church’s affirmations, constitutions and bylaws of the congregations, and the ECC’s ministerial ethical guidelines.
· Commitment to self-care through a regular sabbath rhythm and church attendance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Inspire students to love Jesus through passionate, engaging, innovative, and thoughtful teaching and discipleship rooted in the values of Redeemer Life Church.
· Oversee and develop age-appropriate ministries for students consistent with the vision, values, goals, and priorities of Redeemer Life Church. These include regularly scheduled weekly or monthly events, as well as special or seasonal events.
· Build relationships with and provide resources for youth, volunteers, and parents.
· Recruit, equip, and shepherd volunteer leaders.
· Develop and implement strategies for outreach and evangelism for students.
· Attend ministry directors’ meetings (monthly) and lead youth volunteer meetings (weekly).
· Develop student leaders consistent with their gifting, spiritual and emotional maturity.
· Collaborate with other ministry leaders and volunteers on all-church events as directed.

Pay: $24,000.00 per year
