Custodian/Maintenance Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, multi-tasking abilities, and be a self starter. The Maintenance Person will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient Christian environment for everyone on campus.

Duties

• Ability to use hand and power tools to accomplish the above duties
• Research and clear purchase order issues work orders
• Maintain cleanliness of all facilities
• Clean, paint, and assist with building maintenance as required
• Keep grounds orderly by policing
• Perform light building repair and maintenance
• Pickup of materials as needed
• Completes preventative maintenance checks and work orders
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot tasks as required. Requires the ability to routinely move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50-75 lbs

Experience

• Self starter
• Performs other duties as necessary and assigned
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Effectively and safely operates hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors and other small equipment related to the maintenance trades
• Additional trade specific courses preferred
• Prefer five (5) years’ experience in maintenance of general facilities and possess knowledge of repairs for lift stations, electrical, plumbing, air conditioners.
• Ability to multitask
