We are seeking a part time or per diem Certified EMG Technician to join our growing team at our Lawrenceville, NJ location. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in EMG testing, looking to expand their skills and contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Title Duties (not limited to):
- Perform and assist with Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) under physician supervision.
- Prepare patients for EMG procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Apply electrodes, operate EMG equipment, and record findings accurately.
- Maintain and calibrate EMG machines to ensure accurate diagnostics.
- Document test results in patient records and report findings to the physician.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
Minimum Level of Education or Experience Required:
- Associate's degree or higher required.
- Completion of an accredited EMG training program required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures and equipment, particularly related to EMG.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems to document patient information accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and the healthcare team.
- Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
