Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time front desk coordinator to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Mount Laurel, NJ office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Check patients into the EHR system upon arrival to the office.
- Enter patient demographics and insurance information into EHR system.
- Efficiently coordinate patient appointments, taking into account provider availability and optimizing the utilization of examining and treatment rooms.
- Verify insurance eligibility if/when needed.
- Collect appropriate co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Prepare a daily schedule of examinations for each provider.
- Obtain imaging and hospital results for the physicians and physician assistants.
- Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patients
- Issue specimen collection containers to patients as needed
- Preparing superbills for next day's patients
- Receive, distribute, and process incoming faxes.
- Scan records into patient charts in the EHR system.
- Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information following office HIPAA protocol.
Requirements:
- 2 years continuous recent experience performing described job responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of medical office procedures.
- Proficiency with MS Office, databases, and EHR systems.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with AthenaHealth is an added benefit, but not a requirement.
