Purpose of Position: We invite you to join our Summer Spanish Language and Immersion Technology Program. You will be engaging youth this summer through highly interactive, engaging and communicative workshops that encourage further exploration of Hispanic culture and spark an interest in continued study of the Spanish Language.
Total Positions: 4
Curriculum: The curriculum and learning plans are provided; the same curriculum will be used for all groups
Student Proficiency Level: Novice - Intemediate

Program Dates:
- June 9th - July 3rd, 2025
- Staff Orientation (remote) : 5:00 PM May 23rd, 2025
- In-person Staff Orientation: 3:00 PM, June 2nd, 2025
- In-person Parent Orientation: 6:30 PM, June 2nd, 2025
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Monday - Friday
7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Review curriculum and prepare dynamic, student-centered, and communicative-focused lessons
- Facilitate interactive and engaging class sessions in target language (80%)
- Administer formative and summative assessments
- Communicate student progress with parents and teachers
- Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
- Commit to regular training and professional development
- Record and report student progress

Requirements:
- Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of Spanish
- Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of English
- Coursework in language instruction pedagogy, teacher education, or related field
- Experience working with elementary students
- Reliable transportation
- Highly organized
- Able to express and garner enthusiasm about learning to young children
- Highly energetic
- Experience in creating educational resources to support student learning
- Proficient in collaborative technological tools to enhance student success
