POSITION: Acquisition Program Manager (SME)
LOCATION: Full-time, On-site

We have been hired by an 8(a) acquisition and software/system engineering firm that specializes in utilizing engineering principles and custom software technology to improve efficiencies, control cost and maintain schedule which empowers business, government and commercial organizations to perform at their highest capability. We are tasked to find an Acquisition Program Manager (SME).
We are searching for an Acquisition Program Manager (SME) with exceptional knowledge and considered uniquely skilled in their respective functional disciplines. They are recognized industry leaders and able to adeptly perform a range of activities within their area of expertise. These individuals are considered as the primary mechanism for performing requirements of their area of expertise.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Subject Matter Experts typically perform the following kinds of functions to include but not limited to: collecting, normalizing, and inputting data, cost modeling, performing in depth research, reconciling complex data/information across multiple systems and reports, utilizing complex software in the development of analytical models, interpreting results to generate multiple recommended courses of action, building staffing packages, comprehending and applying concepts/guidance, effectively implementing instructions/policies into routine performance, and developing tools/applications to foster efficiency in day-to-day activities.
• Acquisition professionals will assist and advise the government in reviewing, updating, and developing contract procedures, guides, new/existing policies and regulations.
• Assist and advise the government in the preparation of memos, e-mails, briefings, and stay abreast of DoD and Air Force level policy memos/directives pertaining to acquisition regulations and procedures.
• All services shall be compliant with the FAR, DFARS, AFFARS and other regulations, directives, or policies, as applicable.
• Be proficient in technical and legal writing in support of activities.
• Tasks can include but are not limited to reviewing and coordinating performance reports, ensuring documents are in compliance with Space Systems Command, Air Force, and DoD policy, laws, and regulations, facilitating interfaces with critical internal and external acquisition organizations, ensuring completeness and quality of acquisition and requirements-related documents, and monitoring front office tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Masters degree relevant to their area of expertise limited to the following: Management, Business, Acquisition, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Technology, Engineering, and Operations Research.
• 20 years of experience performing acquisition management activities in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development Contractor arena, of which 10 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space acquisition programs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System, MAR Reporting Software -SMART/PMRT, and Microsoft Office Suite.

SALARY RANGE: $150k-$180k
