Regional Sales Manager

The regional sales manager will combine technical knowledge and sales skills to generate new business and ensure growth of existing clients. They will collaborate with leadership and consult with potential clients, establish strong value proposition and close potential business. This is a key role and will be the main point of contact for all sales-related activities within assigned territory. The ideal candidate will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business to maximize potential in various industries but primarily in the Golf course and
synthetic turf fields.
- Territory coverage for this role is North and South Carolina. Ideal location would be in the Charlotte, NC area.
- Accurately interpret customer requirements, create quotes, and manage communication with customers.
- Ensure growth of existing accounts by developing strong and long-term relationships with customers.
- Effective communication skills, including written and phone skills.
- Coordinate internal support activities to ensure customer’s expectations are met.
- Actively participate in sales and marketing activities, including attending national and local trade shows,
conferences, meetings and other lead generation events.
- Knowledge of and willingness to use CRM, Microsoft Office suite, and back-end computer systems.
- Prepare sales plans and reports for management.
- Achieve annual targets for revenue and for gross margin within territory.
- Manage expenses within Company’s policies and budgets.
- Must have the ability to travel as required to support sales activities for new or prospective business.
- Ability or willingness to learn to operate tractor and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relative experience
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professional communication skills.
- Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to
emails, RFQ’s, and when submitting reports.
- Must be reliable, completing tasks in a timely manner to ensure the ability to follow through on committed
actions for customers.
