What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blood Bank/Coagulation Supervisor position at Redington-Fairview General Hospital?
This person will be trained in all areas of the laboratory including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation and phlebotomy. The person in this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the blood bank and coagulation departments including blood product inventory and transfusion management, reagent supply management, staff training/competency assessment, monitoring of patient testing, in addition to keeping blood bank and coagulation policies and procedures up to date.
Status: 40 hr/wk, includes a rotating weekend and holiday schedule
Qualities: Must have superb attention to detail, pro-active mindset and ability to work well among many individuals.
Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MLT/MT/MLS ASCP or equivalent and two years blood bank experience preferred.
