What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Student Paid Intership position at Redington-Fairview General Hospital?
Redington-Fairview General Hospital (RFGH) has been providing care as an independent, community hospital in Skowhegan, Maine since 1952. Today, RFGH is a 25-bed critical access facility that provides health care for more than 30,000 residents living in Somerset County, which extends from Skowhegan to the Canadian border. RFGH is hiring two summer nursing student interns for a hybrid CNA and nursing internship program. These students will work in the Emergency Department. These positions will be 36 hours per week and will work variable shifts.
Applicants MUST have finished first year in a two year nursing program or finished 2 years in a 4 year nursing program. Successful candidates will work as CNAs on the unit 24 hours/week and will shadow in a variety of nursing departments for the third shift of the week.
- MUST be registered with the State CNA Registry
- Certified in BLS required
- Shall be qualified by education, background, and experience for the responsibility of the position
- Clinical experience in hospital preferred.
