Summary: Instructs students in multiple subjects by performing essential teaching duties in Spanish, assuring that the mission of the schools is supported. Commits to professional growth within best practices in the dual-language immersion classroom. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism by speaking well of other faculty and staff members; supports our entire school system-lower school, middle school, upper school; prays for and with other faculty and staff; encourages others in Godly living and excellence; lovingly holds others accountable; actively pursues ways to encourage members of the schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Demonstrates expertise and mastery of content in the designated Spanish-immersion subjects being taught
Instructs students using best practice teaching methods, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aides and other materials to supplement presentations, all in Spanish
Understands different learning styles and incorporates multiple styles in teaching.
Qualifications:
Profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Maintain a positive Christian testimony
Be involved in a local church of like faith and practice, consistent with the RCS Statement of Faith
Bilingual Proficiency: Must have an Advanced-High proficiency in Spanish (C1 and above) and seek to continue to develop their biliteracy
Agree with and adhere to the employee handbook

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in History or related field from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; or fifth year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience; valid teaching credential.
Credentials, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A certified teaching credential is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered by the administration in lieu of a credential, dependent upon the teacher’s department and duties.
Salary : $47,845 - $83,477
