What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echocardiograph Tech position at Redlands Community Hospital - ECHOCARDIOLOGY?
Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary
Clinical Supervisor performs EKG's and maintains records related to those
tests. This position also provides health care services, applying sonic energy
to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related
procedures to demonstrate cardiac anatomy for interpretation by, or at the
request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in
performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical
ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions
essential for successful completion of the procedure.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/
EXPERIENCE: 1. Graduate of an Accredited Sonography
program or equivalent preferred. 2. Successful completion of an arrhythmia recognition course
required 3. Successful passing of RCH basic arrhythmia recognition
exam required. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1. Certification by the American Registry of
Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Physics, Adult Cardiology, and/or
Pediatric Cardiology required for Echocardiograph II. 2. Current CPR certification required.
