What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Manager - ICU/Tele position at Redlands Community Hospital - INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU)?
Reporting to the Critical CareDirector, this position requires full understanding and active participation infulfilling the mission of Redlands Community Hospital. The Nurse Manager isresponsible for specialty nursing services for the department. The NurseManager has 24-hour accountability to coordinate the provision of care andensures that appropriate nursing practice and patient care standards are met.The Nurse Manager adheres to the Patient's First philosophy of Safety,Compassion, and Efficiency. The Nurse Manager can coordinate care not only forindividual patients, but also to lead the care delivery of multiple patients inthe nursing care area. S / he collaborates with other professionaldisciplines / unit leaders to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.The Nurse Manager is responsible for oversight of nursing personnel assignmentsbased upon their skill, experience and temperament, and the acuity of thepatients. This position also serves as a critical care resource .

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
1. BSN required, MSNdesired.
2. Three to fiveyears of relevant experience in the assigned service area preferred.
3. Demonstratedexpertise in the clinical area, and leadership ability preferred.
4. Basic knowledgeof computer (Word, Excel, and e-mail functions).
5. Membership inprofessional specialty organization preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :
1. CurrentCA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
2. CurrentCPR certification required.
3. CurrentACLS certification required.
4. NIHSScertification required within 6 months of hire.
5. CriticalCare or Nurse Manager certification preferred.
