What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Therapist Lead position at Redlands Community Hospital - SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY?
Reporting to the Director of Physical Medicine
the Speech Therapist Lead performs the day-to-day management of the speech
therapy team and directs and administers Speech Therapy agents and techniques in a manner to assist in the
rehabilitation of people with functional disabilities of speech, language,
voice, and swallow. Included is the ability to properly receive orders, review
medical records, test, and evaluate, develop treatment plans, and administer
therapy. The Speech Therapist Lead oversees the SLPA providing statement to the
California Board as applicable. The position involves effective evaluation,
documentation, and communication of medical information .
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience with neurologically impaired persons.
- Three to four year of experience in rehabilitation with adult speech/language-impaired populations is preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Current California State Speech Therapy license.
- Current BLS certification.
