Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
The Radiologic Technologist reports to the Manager of Radiology and provides healthcare services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics
- Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure
Requirements:
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Certification by the State of California (CRT) is required
- Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy is required for Radiology Tech II
- MAB test must be completed within 6 months of hire if assigned to work in the Emergency Department
- Certificate of venipuncture for contrast media injection must be obtained within 6 months of hire if establishing new IV access for the purpose of contrast injection
