Redline Powersports Group is looking for a Dealership Controller to join our team at our Myrtle Beach, SC dealership. Our dealership group is based in Myrtle Beach, SC, and we proudly serve locations in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are a fast-growing company looking to develop new talent.
A Dealership Controller is responsible for overseeing financial statements like balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their duties include directing department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements, and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. The Dealership Controller is also responsible for supervising the accounting department, which includes establishing and maintaining organizational structure and staffing as well as selecting, training, mentoring of accounting staff.
In addition to managing the accounting department and ensuring the reliability of financial data within the company, a controller is a key contributor to the long-term fiscal health of the company. They should be constantly evaluating all aspects of the business for risk and opportunity. A controller is a crucial partner to the senior leadership team.

Operational
- Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain book to physical adjustments
- Manages accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, procurement, and general ledger accounting
- Champions the efficient relationship between the accounting department and retail operations. This individual should be the point person for ensuring timely communication related to title work, payables, receivables, inventory, daily deposits, and revenue recognition.
Financial Reporting
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assists the Group Controller with the preparation of the monthly management financial reporting package, including variance analysis
- Daily accounting entries related to title work, payables, receivables, inventory, daily deposits, and revenue recognition
Other
- Establishes and implements short and long-range accounting department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Manages projects and initiatives as assigned
