What are the responsibilities and job description for the Redline Boat Crew - 4 day weeks, afternoons free! position at Redline Rafting?
Why Work at Redline:
Join a fantastic boat tour company with a small, supportive team. We believe Maui is “no ka oi” (the best) and want you to enjoy it fully—with three days off each week! We offer 100% paid health and dental benefits, plus PTO. Our love for our employees shows in our incredibly low turnover rate.
About You:
- You've lived on Maui for at least a year and are an excellent swimmer—lifeguard skills, CPR, and First Aid are a plus, but we’re happy to help you get certified if needed.
- You love snorkeling, especially at Molokini, and are eager to share Maui’s beauty and aloha spirit with guests. You know what island is behind Molokini, and you’re familiar with the reef’s marine life (or excited to learn more).
- You're proactive, level-headed in challenging situations, and have a strong ability to spot potential issues before they arise.
- Prior experience on boats is preferred.
The Essentials:
- Reliable and punctual—show up on time every day, no exceptions.
- Physically fit (our small boats and rough seas require resilience).
- Committed to staying with Redline long-term (minimum 1-year commitment).
The Role:
Our rafts carry up to 20 guests on daily trips to Molokini, departing from Kihei Boat Ramp. From December to March, we also offer whale-watching tours. You'll work alongside the captain from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with occasional extended days for maintenance. Your responsibilities include assisting guests both in and out of the water (expect to snorkel for 1 hours per day).
Compensation:
Pay varies with experience, averaging $25-$30 per hour with tips (tips are split with the captain).
