Local Delivery Driver -Class B CDL

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including route driving, flatbed, and commercial driving. This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policies.

This position will require the driver to start at 6:00 am and work until scheduled deliveries are completed (up to 10 hours). This position requires the driver to perform deliveries Monday through Saturday. The driver will be responsible for overseeing truck loading by store associate. Strap the pre pulled / packaged product and deliver to the product to customers driveway with use of the attached forklift (moffett).

Product delivered would include lumber, drywall, block, etc. No tarping or installs in homes is required with this position.

Pay is $1050/week by direct deposit every Friday

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck with 22' flatbed and moffett forklift
• Have held a Class B CDL for at least 2 years with a good MVR.
• Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts when required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumption.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Utilize phone app to manage and upload daily route progress.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Familiarity with route driving and logistics planning.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks and forklifts.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
