The Role
As we continue to grow our Chicago-based practice, RedMane is seeking a Training Curriculum Developer who understands the complexity of developing classroom training for a technology-based system. Our cloud-based SaaS platform, mCase, is the only child welfare solution designed by experienced social workers to meet a caseworker s specific needs. This unique cloud-based system helps child welfare professionals by eliminating manually intensive processes, allowing caseworkers to focus more on prevention.
The Training Curriculum Developer will be responsible for developing module-specific training materials (trainer guide, user guide, and How-Tos) based on information provided by Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Subject Matter Experts, and the developed system.
This role will also be responsible for learning multiple module based training curricula and delivering it in a classroom setting on a newly designed system.
Responsibilities:
- Work both independently and cross-functionally with subject matter experts to shape effective instructional content using realistic business examples and appropriate hands-on activities.
- Create validation activities to measure learning attainment of course objectives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations for training
- Develop curricula for an audience with varying degree of technical skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in classroom training, preferably in a technology or software environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively as needed to deliver training.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience developing classroom training materials and 3 years experience delivering class room based training.
- Demonstrated experience in learning styles, participatory methods, and instructional design
- Demonstrated experience in adult learning theory and practice
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Ability to lead/facilitate meetings, provide demos or training
- Ability to travel extensively as needed.
- Experience developing training for a Human Services software system is a plus.
