The Role
RedMane has a full-time
opportunity for a Lead Engineer, as we continue to grow our Innovation team.
This person will have the unique opportunity to work within our Research and
Development area, building the initial framework and tools for our core ML modeling
and NLP efforts. A background in startup environments is ideal, even though
RedMane is not a startup, the Innovation team operates like one. Great
communication skills are essential to this role as our team believes in
over-communication to enhance the efficiency of our engineering efforts and we
like showing off our advancements to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
· Mentoring other
engineers and leading teams.
· Spearheading the
delivery of large features from ideation to completion.
· Navigation and
resolution of conflicts within development efforts, communicating the reasoning
and decisions made as needed.
· Closely support the
engineering manager to strategize project timelines, allocate resources
effectively, and ensure the alignment of team goals with organizational
objectives.
Skills & Role Requirements
· Deep understanding of technical architectures and the ability to
make strategic decisions that impact the scalability and maintainability of the
product.
· Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both in
personal and team capacities, to stay ahead of industry trends and
technologies.
· C#, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, SolidJS, Typescript, REST,
and automated testing expertise is sought. Experience with all of these
technologies is not required, however, the ability to learn them is.
· Research solutions to engineering problems, collaboratively
design and develop solutions with other software engineers.
· Understand the unique needs and opportunities of our R&D
efforts and design and implement machine learning algorithms to improve, adapt,
and apply generative AI models.
· Strong familiarity with web frameworks for building APIs.
· Demonstrable ability to build tools and find creative solutions.
· Conceptual understanding of statistical and ML models and
algorithms.
· Familiar with the code review process and the willingness to
invest themselves in the mentoring and development of other engineers.
