JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the licensed Special Education Educator and building Principal, the Special Education Instructional Assistant has a variety of support responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to, assisting in preparation of academic materials, working with small learning groups to support our community of learners with curricular support and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS), participating in required training and utilizing that training to support student success throughout learning environments, supervising individual and small groups of students with academic, functional, independent living skills and/or medically fragile needs both in the general education classroom and special education spaces located throughout the school.
