Purchasing Agent

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for the daily purchasing by coordinating with authorized site and department Managers, initiating purchases that are in line with Company procedures and current contractual agreements. They will submit purchasing orders or use other approved purchasing tools and will be responsible for managing the requisition to receipting process including verifying acknowledgments for accuracy, and monitoring vendor performance.

Location: Patagonia, AZ

Rotation: 7 on/7 off

Shift: 10-hour shift/ Day shift

Education

• High School or GED
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Purchasing, Business, Finance or similar discipline preferred or comparable work experience.
  
  

Work Experience

• Purchasing, Buyer, Expeditor experience preferred.
• Mining industry purchasing experience preferred.
• If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Proficient in the use of computers and associated software and supply management systems (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
