Pharmacist Data Analyst
Job Summary
The RedSail Technologies Network Services Business Unit focuses on creating value by developing and activating clinical, financial, and operational programs leveraging our integrated technology platforms. The Pharmacist Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the use of data in clinical programs deployed by RedSail Technologies. This position requires a pharmacist with expertise in data analysis to help evaluate, establish, and measure the effectiveness of clinical programs that align with department objectives.
Key Duties
- Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, and more, to support clinical program analysis.
- Data Cleaning: Preprocess data to handle missing values, remove duplicates, correct inconsistencies, and address outliers to ensure data quality.
- Data Exploration (Exploratory Data Analysis, EDA): Analyze key characteristics of clinical data through visualization and summary statistics to understand distributions, relationships, and patterns.
- Data Transformation: Modify and prepare clinical data for analysis through normalization, standardization, or feature engineering.
- Data Visualization: Create visual representations, including charts, graphs, and dashboards, to communicate clinical insights effectively using tools such as PowerBI.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods to clinical data to test hypotheses, infer relationships, and evaluate program outcomes.
- Data Communication: Present clinical findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders through clear reports, presentations, and storytelling.
- Collaboration with Domain Experts: Work closely with pharmacists, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure data-driven insights align with clinical and business objectives.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure data usage complies with HIPAA and other legal regulations while maintaining high ethical standards.
- Staying Current: Keep up with industry trends and innovations in data science and healthcare
Education/Training
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Preferred: PharmD with data science credentials or extensive experience in data analytics.
Required Work Experience/Skills
- Experience in the pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- Experience programming with SQL and working with data analytics and visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Ability to transform complex healthcare data into concise datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to visualize data effectively for clinical programs and studies.
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Work Experience/Skills
- 2 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy environment.
- Experience with Python.
