GeneralSummary:

This position is assigned to support Child Welfare DataWarehouse team in developing Federal reporting, ad-hoc, ETL, and BusinessObjects reports that are critical to the success of the application such asNYTD, AFCARS, and NCANDS. Also, anyother projects that need ETL support that add value to the Department and endusers to get them the data they need for them to be more productive.
Tasks:
The Data Warehouse Architect will work with State andcontract staff and the operational SACWIS/CCWIS system developers to ensurethat the operational system database will support the data needs of the ChildWelfare Data Warehouse, and the functionality needed to extract the needed dataon a regular basis.
Work with State and contract staff to design and loadthe Child Welfare Data Warehouse database model to support the reporting andanalytic needs of DHHS.
As the operational SACWIS/CCWIS project continues, workwith State, contract, and the operational SACWIS/CCWIS contractor staff to makeneeded changes to the Child Welfare data warehouse that may evolve from theoperational SACWIS/CCWIS system.
Work closely with State and contract staff to ensure that they are fullyaware of the decisions and impacts involved in the supporting and/or enhancingthe DHHS Data Warehouse models and can support and extend them by the end ofthe contract.
ChildWelfare Data Warehouse Architects perform application development tasks insupport of building business intelligence applications and integrating datawarehouse resources into other DHHS applications. In addition, they providedatabase expertise to other application developers in close collaboration withDBAs and other data management staff.
Creatingdata warehouse-based applications including reporting, dashboards and otherinformation analysis, visualizations and delivery systems.
Extract,transform, and load systems to move data from the various operational systemsin which it is collected to a cleansed, consolidated data warehouse.
Work withdata warehouse Federal reporting team members and end user query developers todesign and improve database queries.
Datawarehouse Architects are also expected to be able to work with agencyrequestors to define and develop new queries and provide training and technicalsupport to both DTMB developers and end user query developers.
Workingwith end user requestors to understand their data needs and create andimplement solutions to those needs.
Developand present training classes for DTMB developers to better understand how touse the Teradata and BI development tools to create and implement reportingsolution using the data warehouse.
Provideone on one support for developers and end users to assist them in accomplishingtheir federal data reporting needs.
