Description:
The duties of thisposition can be broad and may include
1. Supervising employees by communicatingregularly, motivating, training, evaluating, planning and directing their work.
2. Assisting with troubleshooting computer systemsand related software.
3. Learning about and providing technicalassistance and routine maintenance of specialized software applications.
4. Providing support for other IT related hardwaredevices such as networked printers, smartphones, etc.
5. Performing advanced troubleshooting to determinecause of problems.
6. Installing, configuring, and providing supportfor Service Desk tickets, as assigned.
Providing or coordinating Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC)support as needed. Assists with reserving, setting up, and troubleshooting ofAV and VC equipment.
Skills:
1. Advanced knowledge ofMicrosoft products, including operating systems, office suite and outlook in anetworked environment
2. Advanced knowledge ofcomputer software, hardware, and firmware relative to personal computer, localarea network/wide area network environments
3. Skilled at installingand providing technical support for software applications, operating systemsand personal computer hardware
4. Ability to doadvanced troubleshooting on various manufacturers of computers
5. Ability to plan,organize, manage and track projects and staff
6. Ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing
7. Ability to read, understand, and comply with the department'spolicies
