Experience Requirements: 3 Years' In-House Payroll Processing Experience and Full-Cycle Certified Payroll Experience Required
Are you an experienced payroll professional with a strong background in full-cycle, in-house payroll processing? Our client, located near Sidney, NY, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees. This is a key role ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while also supporting HR and audit functions.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Manage full-cycle weekly payroll processing, including taxes and garnishments.
- Handle certified payroll processing and reporting.
- Ensure timely weekly payments to tax agencies, 401(k) providers, trust funds, and third-party garnishment agencies.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax filings.
- Assist with payroll-related audits and support HR tasks as needed.
Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:
- Minimum 3 years of in-house payroll processing experience required.
- Proven experience with certified payroll is a must.
- Accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience with Sage Construction software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
